Jade have recently commenced works on the landmark Boyne Viaduct in Drogheda, Co. Louth. The 170m long bridge was constructed in 1855 and is now undergoing major refurbishment by Gabriel Hughes Ireland Ltd. This is a highly technical project involving the erection of a 170m long suspended access platform, to the underside of the bridge. We will then provide a fully boarded access scaffold to the outside elevations cantilevered off alloy beams, providing safe access to all three spans and to both sides of the bridge. A tubular temporary roofing structure will then be erected, to provide the framework for shrink wrapping and complete containment of the structure. This project highlights our key attributes and reinforces us as the contractor of choice for technical and safety critical access solutions.
